FSAE Lap Time Simulator
Lap time simulator is essential to test effectiveness of aero parts. Straight Line Acceleration The straight line acceleration of a car can be modeled as $$ a = \frac{F_{dt}-F_{air}-F_{rr}-F_{grade}}{m} $$ Air resistance is given by $$ F_{air} = \frac{1}{2}\rho AC_d v^2 $$ The downforce is $$F_{down} = \frac{1}{2}\rho C_l A v^2$$ where $C_l$ is the lift constant. The rolling resistance is given by $$F_{rr} = C_{rr}(mg\cos\theta + F_{down})$$ Finally, the grade is just from the incline plane $$F_{grade} = mg\sin\theta.$$
